Recruitment Email for Reform UK – Jan 2022

Dear (supporter/name),

Since David Cameron became Prime Minister in May 2010, the Conservatives have held on to power until the present date. However, there is currently a groundswell of disappointment from voters, particularly those who voted Conservative for the first time in December 2019.

The growing list of Conservative party failures and unwelcome deviations from their manifesto, is too long to list here. But whichever way you look, you trip over government actions, decisions and ideas that clearly have little to do with Conservative values.

It would be easy to go into detail, but many people have already formed a clear understanding of the government’s haphazard decision-making.

So, the important question that bubbles to the surface is this:

“What can we do individually and collectively to fix the tricky situation we now find ourselves in?”

What’s the Answer to the Problem?

Many are suggesting they will never vote Conservative again. Some say they will sit on their hands at the next general election. Others insist they must vote Conservative for fear of letting Labour in.

At Reform UK, we believe all of those options are unlikely to bring the results we all crave. Doing nothing, or repeating past mistakes, will clearly deliver more unsatisfactory outcomes.

Consider for a moment if you will, the possibility of taking an active role in helping to deliver some thoughtful ideas designed specifically to benefit Great Britain as a whole. (See below for suggestions of how you might get involved).

Let’s Build on Our Past Successes

Reform UK in its previous incarnation as the Brexit Party, made significant waves that flushed Teresa May out of Downing Street.

Equally, the EU election success enjoyed by its MEPs convinced the Johnson government that getting Brexit done was the only way to win a general election.

All that political manoeuvring was achieved without having so much as a single seat in our own Parliament.

Since those turbulent times, the Conservative Party has undeniably drifted towards the left, leaving lifelong supporters and new Tory voters scratching their heads as feelings of hope turned to dismay and disappointment.

Voters Truly Deserve Better…

Meanwhile, Reform UK has been growing in popularity, as the party developed the knack of tuning in to the heartbeat of the country, creating policies and plans that are instantly recognisable as universally beneficial.

One example might be Reform UK’s answer to the Conservative’s unpopular, uncosted and unachievable Green Revolution, with its alarming 2050 target of “Net Zero” Carbon Dioxide emissions.

Nobody Has a Kind Word for the Green Revolution

People from all backgrounds are clearly unimpressed at the thought of depending on unreliable wind and solar power, exchanging their gas boilers for inefficient Heat Pumps, and trading in their vehicles for overpriced electric replacements that run on batteries manufactured in China.

The helter-skelter alarmism pushed by climate change activists, is clearly driving Conservative policy-making. Computer modelling can produce any desired result. Worst case scenario predictions that we’re heading for an apocalypse, are believed by many politicians.

However, these end of the world prognostications receive a more balanced and considered response from Reform UK.

Reform UK’s Plan to Protect Energy Supplies

For a start, we believe foreign ownership of British utilities exposes us to strategic vulnerability, while adding significant costs to consumers bills.

Buying energy or vital components overseas leaves the UK vulnerable to supply shortages and infrastructure failures. Relying on overseas suppliers also exposes us to price hikes over which we have no control.

Instead, Reform UK’s intentions would be to increase North Sea oil licences. We would also begin excavating for home-grown shale gas, coupled with investing in technologies of the future, such as mini nuclear power plants, to create a robust and reliable energy supply, that would also bring down prices for British consumers.

Steady investment in nuclear and new clean technologies as they become available, would bring our energy needs back under British control, without bankrupting the country. Reform UK believes this is the sensible and balanced response to the energy and environmental challenges we face.

Brexit is now behind us, and it’s also important we learn to live with Covid 19. By creating a low tax business environment, that injects life into our damaged economy, we could soon be harvesting the benefits afforded to an independent country that can make its own rules, control its borders, and take on the rest of the world.

Here’s How You Can Join Us
